(CARBON MONOXIDE)
Engine exhaust gases, though colourless
and odourless, contain carbon monoxide,
which is dangerous
or even lethal if in-
haled.
•
If at any time you suspect that exhaust
fumes are entering the passenger com-
partment, have the source located and
corrected as soon as possible.
•
If it is necessary to drive under such
conditions,
do so only with all the
windows fully open.
•
Do not run the engine
in confined
areas such as garages or other closed
areas any more than is necessary to
move the vehicle in or out of the area
•
When the vehicle is stopped in a con-
fined area with the engine running for
more than a short length of time, ad-
just the heating or cooling system to
recirculate the air inside the vehicle.
•
Never
sit (or leave
children)
in a
parked or stationary vehicle for an ex-
tended period of time with the engine
running.
