Installation
This equipment must be unpacked and installed by
an authorized Dabi Atlante technician; otherwise,
warranty will be voided.
Procedures prior to equipment use/
reutilization
Prior to equipment use/reutilization, follow the
operation and cleaning instructions in this manual.
Language selection (Seletronic)
When starting the machine, keep the “Adult/Child”
key pressed.
When the screen opens, the display will show three
languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish), which
can be changed by the “
+
” and “
-
” keys.
Press the “
S
” key to save the language chosen.
Operation
Seletronic
Position the locating cylinder according to the
radiographic taking type desired.
Turn on the master switch. The message “DABI ATLANTE
VERSION 1.1” will show on the display, which will be
followed by the message “SELECT RADIOGRAPH”.
Select the radiograph type using the anterior
Interproximal, posterior Interproximal, Occlusal-Lower
Jaw, Occlusal-Upper Jaw and Periapical keys.
Note that the periapical function is selected by using
the control keys which reproduce the dental arch.
Press the “adult/child” key to select the adult or
child option.
Select the film type to be used.
Stay away at a safe distance (see item:
Recommendations, care and warnings).
Keep the shooting key pressed to activate the
equipment. After a sound warning is heard the
display will show “REAL TIME _,_ _ s COMPENS.
+/- _,_ _ S”.
After shooting, the display will show the actual
exposure time as the Timer features an intelligent
system that compensates the x-ray application
time according to variations in the mains voltage.
For this reason, the actual time described on the
display after shooting must be regarded as the
exposure time.
After use, turn off the equipment master switch.
Releasing the shooting key before the selected time
has elapsed interrupts x-ray emission immediately
and the message “REAL TIME _,_ _ s SHOOT
INTERRUP.” will show on the display, indicating the
actual shooting time.
Teeth 16/17/18, 26/27/28, 36/37/38, 46/47/48
cannot be selected in the child option.
The time selected by the operator for periapical
radiographs must be similar for both arches.
Eletronic
Position the locating cylinder according to the
radiographic taking type desired.
Turn on the master switch.
In case the equipment has a voltage regulator
(optional item), turn the voltage selector to adjust
voltage. Turn it until the central green LED in the
timer case goes on. While a red LED remains on,
the equipment will be disabled.
Select the exposure time, which ranges from 0.2 to
2.5 seconds. It can be extended or reduced by 0.1
second with each touch on keys “
+
” (to extend) and
“
-
” (to reduce) - see item “Radiographic Techniques”
in this manual.
Stay away at a safe distance (see item:
Recommendations, care and warnings).
Keep the shooting key pressed to activate the
equipment. The yellow LED will go on and sound
warning will be heard, indicating that the equipment
will be emitting radiation during the selected time.
Releasing the shooting key before the selected
time has elapsed will interrupt x-ray emission
immediately.
Wait a few seconds before shooting again. This is
the cooling time required which is indicated by the
blinking signal on the display. During such time, the
keys will be inactive.
After use, turn off the equipment master switch.
To obtain the load application time, 0.196 must be
added (ampoule pre-warming time) to any value
on the
display
.
