Battery Power
To prevent an unexpected system fault of DOT 320 due to a power problem, refer to the
following.
Using DOT 320 for the first
time
When you unpack DOT 320, the battery may have been
discharged. Be sure to charge the battery fully with the
battery charger before use.
Charging the battery
When charging the battery, be sure to check that the battery
charger and DOT 320 are connected properly and that the
battery charger is well connected to the electric outlet.
Batter Low icon appears on
the task bar, or the battery
warning is displayed in the
dialog box
Charge the battery using the battery charger. The DOT 320

Device has lost power
while the power is on
Since the battery power is very low, charge the battery for a
certain time before using DOT 320. If DOT 320 is left
uncharged when the battery power is very low, the power
will not be supplied to the CPU of DOT 320, and DOT 320
will be hardware reset, resulting in loss of all data and files
stored in DOT 320.
DOT 320 will not be in use
for a long time
Turn off the power of DOT 320 using the power button.
Tap Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power > Power Off
and set the power to be turned off if DOT 320 remains idle
for a certain time for efficient use of power.
Saving power
Tap Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Backlight
and set the LCD Backlight to be turned off automatically
when DOT 320 is not in use to save the battery power.
Also, tap Start > Programs > Utility > Backlight to adjust
the brightness of the LCD Backlight.
Automatic power-off does
not work
When DOT 320 is connected with the PC, the power is not
turned off automatically. Therefore, while DOT 320 is in
connection with the PC, connect the battery to the docking
cradle.
Insufficient power warning
appears while using CF
Card
Remove the CF Card from DOT 320 and recharge DOT
320 using the battery charger.
Power is lost during use
DOT 320 has turned off the power automatically due to
insufficient battery power and has entered the safety mode.
Do not use DOT 320 forcibly, but use it after recharging the
battery.
