Example usage:
To display the extensive NetBIOS filter status:
DES-3500:admin#show filter netbios
Command: show filter netbios
Enabled ports 1-3
DES-3500:admin#
config filter extensive_netbios
Purpose
Used to configure the switch to filter 802.3 frame NetBIOS packets from
specified ports.
Syntax
config filter extensive_netbios <portlist> state [enable|disable]
Description
This command will configure the switch to filter 802.3 frame NetBIOS
packets from the specified ports.
Parameters
<portlist> –
The list of port numbers to which the NetBIOS filter will be
applied.
state [enable|disable]
– Used to enable/disable the NetBIOS filter on the
switch.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Enabling the NetBIOS filter will create one access profile and one access
rules per port (DSAP=F0, SASP=F0).
Example usage:
To configure the extensive NetBIOS state::
DES-3500:admin#config filter extensive_netbios 1-10 state enable
Command: config filter extensive_netbios 1-10 state enable
Success.
