Using the Configuration Menu (continued)
The Wireless Settings screen controls the following wireless connection and
encryption settings on the DVC-1100:
SSID
The name of the selected wireless device from the
Wireless Site Survey
screen. This name can be
entered or edited using the on-screen keyboard (e.g., if
the SSID broadcast feature on a wireless device was
disabled and the SSID did not appear on the
Wireless
Site Survey
screen). The connection status for the
selected SSID device is displayed next to the SSID
(
Connection OK
or
Connection Failed
).
Select one of the following authentication modes:
Open Key:
Communicates the key across the network.
Shared Key:
Allows communication only with devices
with identical encryption settings.
The WEP Encryption key can be set to 64, 128 or 256
bit-length. The
WEP Type
must match the WEP
encryption bit-length on the wireless network.
