Section 3 - Configuration
To use the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP
™
) feature check
the
Enable UPnp
box. UPnP provides compatibility with
networking equipment, software and peripherals.
Checking this box will allow the DIR-810L to respond
to pings. Unchecking the box may provide some extra
security from hackers.
Allow All

from the drop-down
menu when you check
Enable WAN Ping Respond
, allowing
you to apply the inbound Filter to the WAN Ping. (Refer to
page 83 for more information about inbound filters.)
You may set the port speed of the Internet port to
10Mbps

100Mbps
, or
Auto 10/100Mbps
(recommended).
Check the box to allow multicast traffic to pass through
the router from the Internet (IPv4).
Check the box to allow multicast traffic to pass through
the router from the Internet (IPv6).
