DMZ Settings
The
DMZ Settings
screen allows you to
Enable
and
Disable
the DMZ port
on the DFL-600 and to specify the IP address and Subnet Mask that the DMZ
port will use. The default DMZ IP address is 192.168.1.1 with a subnet mask
of 255.255.255.0.
IP Address
This is the IP address assigned to the
DMZ port, and will be assigned to a PC that you
connect to this port. You can assign any IP
address to the DFL-600’s DMZ port that is
within the range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254.
Subnet Mask
This is the subnet mask corresponding to the
DMZ IP address specified above. It must be the
same subnet mask as assigned to the LAN ports.
DMZ Host Settings
The
DMZ
port maps one global IP address
−
an IP address that is valid on
the Internet, usually assigned by your ISP
−
to one local IP address from the
IP address range assigned to the DFL-600’s
DMZ
port.
DMZ Hosts, sometimes referred to as Virtual Servers, are computers on your
LAN that are connected to the
DMZ
port and are configured to act as servers
