CPE PPPoE Settings

To view the CPE PPPoE Settings menu, click

CPE Management > CPE Advanced Information

Select the CPE unit to be configured with the pull-down line menu and click on the

button. The status of the

line is displayed. The following parameters are configured in the

CPE PPPoE Settings

menu:

Parameter Description

Username

Type in the account user name used to establish the PPPoE connection.

Password

Type in the account password used to establish the PPPoE connection.

VLAN ID

Enter the VLAN ID used for the CPE.

Service Name

Enter the Service Name for the PPPoE connection (optional).

Host Name

Enter the Host Name for the PPPoE connection (optional).

Idle Timeout

Enter the amount of time in minutes allowed for the connection to be idle for before
disconnecting the PPPoE connection.

MTU

Enter an MTU value (default = 1492).

Connection

Choose

Always On

On Demand

connection for PPPoE.

Click on the

Apply

button for the menu parameter being set to set these configurations in the memory of the switch.
