Dynamic
IP Address-
most Cable modem users will select this option to obtain an IP
Address automatically from their ISP (Internet Service Pro-
vider).
Host Name-
this is optional, but may be required by some ISPs. The default
host name is the device name of the Router and may be
changed.
MAC Address-
the default MAC Address is set to the WAN’s physical interface
MAC address on the Router.
Apply-
click
Apply
to save the changes.
Clone
MAC Address-
click on
Clone Mac Address
to automatically enter the MAC
address of the Ethernet card in your computer into the
MAC
Address
field. Some ISPs
(Internet Service Providers)
restrict
access to their network unless you are using the specific MAC
address of the ethernet adapter originally installed by the ISP.
