A.2.3 Serial Interconnection between PSoC 5LP and PSoC 6 MCU
In addition to being used as an onboard programmer, the PSoC 5LP functions as an interface for the
USB-UART, USB-I2C, and USB-SPI bridges, as shown in
Figure A-1 . The USB-Serial pins of the
PSoC 5LP are hard-wired to the I2C/UART/SPI pins of the PSoC 6 MCU. These pins are also avail-
able on the Arduino-compatible I/O headers; therefore, the PSoC 5LP can be used to control Ardu-
ino shields with an I2C/UART/SPI interface.
