Appendix H. Manual Driver Installation
If installing the ECP printer and scanner:
1. Navigate to:
<installation directory>\Device Drivers\WinNT4_2K_XP\Ecp\
V100133_061212
2.
Copy
cy.sys
into:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\
If installing the USB printer and scanner:
1. Navigate to:
<
installation directory
>
\Device Drivers\WinNT4_2K_XP\usb
2.
Copy
ezusb.sys
into:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\
3. The following Windows DLLs need to exist in
\windows\system32\
mfc42u.dll
msvcrtd.dll
mfc42d.dll
If these files are missing, locate the latest versions of them either from your Windows
installation CD or the Internet, and copy them to the
drivers
folder.
4. Edit
Cy.ini
and set
IoBase
,
Irq
, and
Dma
to same values as in there are is BIOS for the ECP
port.
5. When you have connected your USB printer and scanner, and Windows detected the new
hardware, provide Windows with the path to the ezusbw2k.inf file located in:
<installation directory>\Device Drivers\WinNT4_2K_XP
For ECP printer and scanner installs only
1. Navigate to:
<installation directory>\Device Drivers\WinNT4_2K_XP
2. Drag either
cyw2k-Lpt1.ini
or
cyw2k-Lpt2.ini
(depending upon the LTP port you are using)
onto
regini.exe
.
3. Run
Servicer.exe
4. Click
Start
.
5. Press
OK
after the Cy service has
started and is running. (See Image 6).
This enables the driver for this session.
