[Description]
Starts or ends macro definition.
[Notes]
• Macro definition starts when this command is received during normal operation.
• When
$1D $5E
is received during macro definition, the printer ends macro definition and
clears all definitions.
• Macros are not defined when power is turned on to the machine.
• Macro content is not cancelled by the
$1B $40
command. Therefore,
$1B $40
may be
included in the content of macro definitions.
• If the printer receives
$1D $3A
a second time after previously receiving
$1D $3A
, the
printer remains in macro undefined status.
• The contents of the macro can be defined up to 2048 bytes. If the macro definition
exceeds 2048 bytes, excess data is not stored.
