SSR/CHS/001
19
x 2 = 1.44W). The efficiency of the PSU (75%) means that an SSR/CHS/001 module consumes on average 3.85W (total Power:
0.75W + 0.7W + 1.44W = 2.89W. 2.89W/0.75 = 3.85W.) Therefore a fully loaded SSR/CHS/001 consumes a total of 23.8W
((3.85W x 4) + 8.4W = 23.8W). For more information, see
TEC/NOT/049 - Power estimation
Battery backup
When the SSR/CHS/001 is switched off, the battery backup of the RTC continues. The RTC maintains an accuracy of ± two
minutes per year. The battery has a 4-year lifetime, after which you can replace it. For information on how to replace the battery,
see the
Multi-role Recorders User Guide

:
In 1% of power-on situations the recorder can power on with an incorrect time from the RTC. This can be corrected by
power cycling the recorder, or is corrected automatically if the unit is receiving time from an external source.
SNMP
Once installed the SSR/CHS/001 is configured using DAS Studio 3 via the Ethernet port. DAS Studio 3 uses SNMP to edit the
configuration of the SSR/CHS/001. These settings include:
•
The IP address of the SSR/CHS/001.
•
The current year when used with an IRIG time source.
The following table outlines the core subset of SNMP variables that can be used to configure the SSR/CHS/001.

Variable descriptions
VARIABLE
DESCRIPTION
READ ONLY (RO)
READ AND WRITE (R/W)
.ipSetVar.0
Combined MAC address, IP address, and IP mask.

acra.triggers.recorde
rTriggers
.triggerRemoteEvent.0
Event increment variable: writing 1 to this variable increments the
event number; reading from this variable returns the current event
number.

acra.recorder
.recCommand.0
Issue a command to control the recorder or retrieve the last command
issued when queried. (0) no command - no command has been
received (default), (1) record - starts the recording function, (2) stop -
stops the recording function, (3) mount - mounts the media for r/w
access, (4) dismount - dismounts the media in preparation for
removal. Recorder must be in the idle state for this command to be
valid.
R/W
.controlMethod.0
Method of controlling the recorder. Only the control method listed in
this variable controls the recorder with the exception that the
controlMethod variable itself is always modifiable with SNMP. (0) local
- controlled by front panel, (1) remote - controlled over the network via
SNMP, (2) external - controlled via wires on the I/O interface.
R/W
.ethernetRecording.0
Enable/disable the Ethernet-in recording.
