 Curt-O-Matic Installation

11

Outside

Winch mounted on the outside corner of the building:

If this setup is used with a Power-Trak, the Curt-O-Matic should be mounted on the lower U-bolt on the
corner bracket while using the handle J-Hook (10).

(See Figure 3B.)

 Otherwise, mount the unit above

winch in a convenient location.

Place flat washers (18) on both sides of the winch release lever and mount with screw. Secure in place
although DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Lever must rotate freely and without obstruction.

Chain Adjustment Kit

Fasten the spring hook (or Quick-Link) to the curtain cable with the cable clamp (12). Secure one end of
the chain to the building with the lag screw. Chain can be connected to the spring hook (10) to preset drop.
This will restrict how far the curtain will fall.

(See Figure 3C on Page 12.)

NOTES:

•

The curtain fall distance depends on the system setup and Quick-Link location. Set the
Quick-Link location as necessary to accommodate the proper curtain position when the
Curt-O-Matic is activated/curtains lowered.

•

Verify that the winch or winch handle can not become tangled with the cable and/or chain.
Relocate the cable or chain if necessary.

•

Test the setup when installation is complete to ensure proper curtain drop distance and
operation without interference with the winch or winch handle.

•
