OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Fill the beverage bottle with chilled
water up to the indicated “W

TER
FILL LINE."

Insert the carbonator head into the
bottle and scr
ew down firmly until it
is tightly fitted to the bottle (fig. a).
3.
Use the toggle to make sur
e the
safety window is fully open on the
char
ger chamber
.

Insert a disposable CO
2

ger into
the open window of the char
ger
chamber

ow end facing down
(fig. b), and ensur
e the char
ger is
inserted firmly in place by gently
pushing the disposable CO
2
char
ger
back until you hear a click.

Place the corr
ectly filled beverage
bottle with attached carbonator
head in an upright and stable
position on a clean, flat surface.
Lower the char
ger chamber down
onto the carbonator head to engage
the activating thr
ead (fig. c). Scr
ew

ger chamber clockwise onto
the carbonator head. The safety
window will automatically close and
lock prior to pier
cing the CO
2
char
ger
.

Continue to firmly tur
n the char
ger
chamber clockwise until you can
not tighten anymor
e and the CO
2
char
ger is pier
ced. Y
ou will see the
CO
2
r
elease into the bottle and hear
a hissing sound and small
associated r
elease of excess CO
2
thr
ough the carbonator head safety
release valve – a normal part of the
carbonation pr
ocess.
NOTE: W
ait at least 30 seconds
for full carbonation to take place.
7.
Slowly unscr
ew and r
emove the
char
ger chamber fr
om the
carbonator head. Slide the safety
window open using the slider button
and eject the used CO
2
char
ger
thr
ough the window by pushing
your index finger thr
ough the hole
pr
ovided.
8.
Shake the bottle thor
oughly for
5 seconds (fig. d) to complete the
carbonation pr
ocess.
9.
Slowly unscr
ew the carbonator
head and r
emove, then enjoy your
sparkling water
.
NOTE: Once opened, use only the
standar
d bottle cap to r
eseal the
bottle. The sparkling nozzle cap
should be used only when
carbonating.
If you would like, you can add a
natural flavour stick to your glass
of sparkling water for a r
efr
eshing,
flavor
ed soda (fig. e).
NOTE: Never pour in flavour
befor
e carbonating.
10.
The supplied bottle cap will
maintain a r
esidual pr
essur
e and
can be placed on the bottle to keep
the contents fr
om going flat (fig. f).

BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packaging materials and
any promotional labels or stickers
from your Compact Sparkling
Beverage Maker. Be sure all parts
(listed in Parts and Features) of your
new drink maker have been included
before discarding any packaging
materials.
•
You may want to keep the box
and packing materials to use at a
later date.
•
Before using your Cuisinart Sparkling
Beverage Maker for the first time,
remove any dust from shipping by
wiping the unit with a damp cloth.
•
Thoroughly clean 1-liter beverage
bottle, carbonator head and charger
chamber in warm soapy water
(maximum temperature 122°F/50°C).
Use only regular dish soap for
washing; never use any abrasive
materials or scourers. Never wash any
components in the dishwasher.
