In order to shift you must be pedalling.

Press the brake lever up until you feel it
engage and let it go again.

On many models there is an auxiliary
lever.

Instead of operating the brake lever as
described at 2. above you can also shift
to smaller sprockets by depressing the
auxiliary lever.

On your gear-shift there are two levers. Lever A is
for shifting to a larger chain ring or sprocket and
Lever B for shifting to a smaller one.
