Introduction
FRM220-TM-10GMux is a 7 x 1GE to 10G Muxponder that can
transport seven separate Gigabit Ethernet data streams into a 10Gbps
SFP+ Based trunk port using TDM technology. The 7 x 1GE interfaces use
SFP-based access that can accommodate various types of SFP, such as
Multi-mode, Single mode and 1Gbps copper SFPs. The trunk port is a
SFP+ 10Gbps permitting flexible connectivity options between the
Muxponders either in a WDM system or directly between two devices.
FRM220-TM-10GMux can be installed in a 19-inch 2U 20-slot
chassis (FRM220-CH20) or 19-inch 1U 8-slot chassis (FRM220-CH08).
Both housings can be monitored and configured through SNMP, Web
GUI or Telnet using a NMC management module. By using FRM220-TM-
10GMux in the network, it provides significant cost reduction and
excellent fiber utilization when it is compared with CWDM optical
multiplexing.
