5.1 General
In this chapter we shall explain the functioning of the loop back modes available in
the MULTIPLEXER UNIT. As of printing of this manual (F/W ver. 1.03) the loop back
modes available include Local, Remote, and Remote Request Loop Backs for the Optical
interface and the secondary Optical interface (if redundant) as well as Local Loop Back,
Near End Loop Back, Remote Loop Back, and Request Remote Loop Back for the E1 and
T1 4-Channel Port Cards.
