GETTING STARTED

    BEFORE REMOVING THE FACTORY RADIO

    

CHECK LIST

 

Disconnect negative side of 

the battery to avoid any short 

circuits during the installation.

Make sure the vehicle is 

equipped with the VW 

Premium 8 radio

.

 
With radio removed, look to 

see how the interface and 

harness can be positioned 

within the dash. Staying clear 

of any major components or 

HVAC system.

    INSTALLING THE CAMERA

Step 2

• Examine the provided camera and housing. Take notice    

   that the left license plate housing will be replaced with this 

   camera assembly.

• Route Camera wires thought vehicle and up towards the        

   back of the radio.

• Connect video RCA to CAM input of interface.

• Connect black wire to chassis ground.  

(Please don’t ground     

   to trunk lid, because this is not a good enough ground).

• Connect red Wire to Can Module’s Green Wire.  

   This is an auto reverse trigger. 

(Camera will only turn on   

   when vehicle is put in reverse.)

CRUX Interfacing Solutions shall not be held liable for a 

vehicle's electronic components in such case, thereby 

it is the responsibility of the installer to verify and confirm 

vehicle configuration as to product compatibility prior to 

installation. Installer shall be responsible as to all liability 

insurance to cover any damage that may arise through 

installation. Likewise, CRUX's recommendation of an

installation facility shall not constitute any grounds for 

responsibility or liability. Notwithstanding any other
