Dual Mode Low-Z (8Ω, 4Ω or 2Ω) Output Operation
Typical input and output wiring, along with Audio Architect
software settings are shown in
Figure 21
and
Figure

.
INPUTS: Connect the input with wiring in place for each
channel. If the same signal is to drive both outputs of
a channel pair (“mono”), the input signal can be sent to
adjacent amplifier channels.
OUTPUTS: Maintain proper polarity (+/–) on output
connectors. Connect the Channel 1 speaker’s positive
(+) lead to amplifier Channel 1 positive terminal; repeat
for negative (–). Repeat Channel 2 wiring as for Channel
1, and for any subsequent channel pairs on multichannel
models. Refer
"Wiring Output Connectors" on
page 4
for output connector terminal assignments.
DANTE: When connecting via Dante, two Dante-equipped
devices can be connected directly together using the
Primary Dante ports. If connecting more than two Dante
devices, the Primary ports of each device should be
connected to a network switch (this is a referred to as a
"star" network topology).
100Mbps network switches and Category 5 cabling can
be used for smaller Dante networks where smaller channel
counts and/or lower sample rates are used. For optimum
performance and improved reliability, a Gigabit network and Category 5e or Category 6 cabling should be used. Visit the Audinate website for more information.
To provide fault protection when using Dante, connect the Secondary ports of all Dante devices to a secondary (separate) network switch. If any "primary" cable connections
or the "primary" switch fail, the "secondary" Dante network will automatically take over.
For further information on Dante, refer to
"Dante" on page 28
.

NOTE:
Always route the input and output wires in separate bundles.
WARNING:
Only connect to networks that remain inside the building.
