Appliance maintenance / preventive
measures
Before any procedures, be sure to switch off the
appliance, remove the current-carrying cable from
the socket and discharge pressure in receiver 4
(pulling by the ring of safety valve 16 or opening
the valve onto outlet fitting 17 (in case when
nothing is connected to the fitting 17)).
For improve understanding of drawings,
some structural elements of appliances
are not shown onto drawing.
Cleaning the appliance
It is required to periodically clean the outer surface of
the appliance with a soft brush and a cloth, and blow
the parts of the appliance with compressed air Do
not use caustic substances or solvents to clean the
appliance
Draining condensate (see fig. 9-10)
After each using or after working day, always drain the
condensate from receiver
4
 This prevents from corro-
sion inside receiver
4

•
Place the appliance on a flat horizontal surface.
•
To depressurize receiver
4
pull by the ring of safety
valve
16
or open the valve onto outlet fitting
17
(in
case when nothing is connected to the fitting
17
) (see
fig. 9.1, 10.1).
•
Place a container under drain valve
9
, where the
condensate will drain
•
Open drain valve
9
and tilt the appliance so that
the drain valve
9
is at the lowest point, this will com-
pletely drain the condensate from the receiver
4
(see
fig. 9.2, 10.2). Wait until the condensate has drained
completely (water will stop dripping from drain valve
9
)
•
Close drain valve
9
as shown on figure 9.3, 10.3.
•
Close the valve on outlet fitting
17

Cleaning air filter (see fig. 11)
Regularly inspect filter element
36
of air filter
10
(its
contamination depends on the state of the environ-
ment). Clean (or replace) the filter element as it gets
dirty, but at least after 100 hours of using the appli-
ance. A polluted air filter reduces efficiency factor and
contributes to a greater depreciation of the appliance
Attention: if appliance has two air filters 10 always
clean them at the same time.
•
Place the appliance on a flat horizontal surface.
•
Remove cover
37
from housing
35
(see fig. 11.1).
•
Remove filter element
36
(see fig. 11.2).
•
Blow filter element
36
with compressed air
•
If the impurities of filter element
36
are too heavy
and cannot be cleaned, replace it It is strictly forbidden
to use the appliance without an air filter.
•
Install cover
37
on housing
35

•
If the appliance has two air filters
10
repeat all the
above operations for the second air filter
10

Cleaning the check valve (see fig. 12)
[CT36075, CT36076]
•
Unscrew screw plug
41
(see fig.
12)
•
Extract spring
40
and piston
39
from housing
38

•
Check the piston
39
for damage (if the piston
39
is damaged, it must be replaced) Clean all elements
with a soft brush and install back Observe the
consequence of parts installation, and do not turn over
the piston
39

•
Screw in screw plug
41

Checking the receiver status
Regularly inspect receiver
4
for signs of damage or
corrosion If receiver
4
is damaged, it is forbidden to
perform independent repairs (mechanical, or by weld-
ing) Damaged receiver
4
must be completely replaced
at the dedicated
CROWN
repair workshop
After-sales service and application service
Our after-sales service responds to your questions
concerning maintenance and repair of your product as
well as spare parts Information about service centers,
parts diagrams and information about spare parts can
also be found under:
www.crown-tools.com
.
Transportation of the appliances
•
Only move the аppliance by handle
3
or
15
or by
picking it up and supporting from the bottom Do not
move the аppliance by other parts (by pulling the hos
-
es or power cable, etc)
•
Do not transport or move the appliance without re-
lieving pressure from the receiver
4

•
Categorically not to drop any mechanical impact on
the packaging during transport
•
When unloading / loading is not allowed to use any
kind of technology that works on the principle of clamp-
ing packaging
Environmental protection
Recycle raw materials instead of dispos-
ing as waste.
Appliance, accessories and packaging
should be sorted for environment-friendly
recycling
The plastic components are labelled for categorized
recycling
These instructions are printed on recycled paper man-
ufactured without chlorine
The manufacturer reserves the possibility to introduce changes.
