REPORTING SAFETY DEFECTS
If you believe that your vehicle has a defect which could cause a crash or could cause injury or death, you should
immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying Crown
Construction Equipment.
If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defect exists in a group of
vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot become involved in any individual
problems between you, your dealer, or Crown Construction Equipment.
To contact NHTSA you may either call the Auto Safety Hotline toll free at
1-800-424-9393 (366-0123 in Washington, DC area) or write to:

CALIFORNIA – Proposition 65 Warning
Engine exhaust and some of its constituents and some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and
other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other
reproductive harm.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
Lead from lead-based paints
Crystalline silica from bricks
Cement and other masonry products
Arsenic and chromium from chemically
treated lumber
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to
these chemicals:
ALWAYS work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially
designed to filter out microscopic participles.
