Time Settings
Time settings on the CEN-SWPOE-24 are managed by Simple Network Time
Protocol (SNTP), which allows the switch to set its internal clock based on periodic
updates from a time server (SNTP or NTP). Maintaining an accurate time on the
switch enables the system log to record meaningful dates and times for event entries.
To configure the SNTP server on the switch click the
General
selection and then
click the
Time Settings
subselection. The “Time Settings” screen opens. Refer to the
image on the following page for more details.

Enter the appropriate time information for the entry boxes:

Time zone
: Select the time zone where the switch will be located.
•
NTP server
: Enter the name of the time server.
•
Reboot function
: Allows the switch to reset daily. Select either
Enable
or
Disable
.
•
Reboot time
: If Reboot function is set to
Enable
, enter the time of day
(using 24-hour clock) that the reboot should occur.
Click
Save
to save the changes or
Cancel
to discard changes.
