The
System Views
lower pane displays the PRO2 system tree. This tree can be
expanded to display and configure the communications ports.

When a C2N-NPA8 is added to a system in Configuration Manager, the
Cresnet
Units
icon in System Views changes as shown in the following diagram to indicate
that a C2N-NPA8 is present.

Adding a C2N-NPA8 to a 2-series control system is as easy as dragging and
dropping the device into the appropriate device slot in the 2-Series system tree.
Serial Connection Between the Control System and
C2N-NPA8
If the C2N-NPA8 is to be connected to a control system via serial communications,
perform the following:
In Configuration Manager, drag the C2N-NPA8 from the
Serial Drivers (General)
folder of the
Device Library
and drop it onto a compatible serial port of the control
system. Click
Yes
when prompted (refer to the following diagram) to replace the
serial driver for that port. SIMPL Windows displays the C2N-NPA8 in the target
serial port.
