DeviceHostname
This parameter is only valid for an Ethernet device and can have multiple
meanings:
•
If the
"deviceModel"
specifies an Ethernet device, then the
"deviceHostname"
identifies the device to be updated. If the
"deviceHostname"
is the wildcard character "*", then it identifies all the
Ethernet devices of the type specified by
"deviceModel"
.
•
For any combination of
"deviceModel"
and
"deviceId"
, it needs to be
established whether the device to be updated is on the controller or on a
peripheral connected to the controller:
o
If the
"deviceHostname"
is defined, then the device to be updated is
connected to an Ethernet-connected parent device.
o
If the
"deviceHostname"
is not defined, then the device to be
updated is connected to the controller (Cresnet device/internal
gateway).
o
If the
"deviceHostname"
is "*", then all devices will be updated as
defined by the
"deviceModel"
parameter in one of the following
three ways:
All gateways will be updated
All specific devices connected to internal/external gateways will be
updated
All Cresnet devices of a specified type connected to a CEN-CN or
all EX devices connected to an external Ethernet gateway will be
updated.
IndirectCresnetId
This parameter is only valid when the
"deviceModel"
specifies an EX device:
•
If the
"deviceModel"
specifies an EX device, then it indicates the Cresnet
ID of the gateway.
•
If
"indirectCresnetId"
is "*", then it indicates the specific device
connected to any Cresnet gateway.
•
If the value of this parameter is not defined, then the device to be
updated is connected to the controller (Ethernet device/internal
gateway).
