STEP 14 — Ceiling Joist:
Pivot both roof panels until the ends touch evenly. With the
counter-bored holes facing out, fasten a Ceiling Joist (X) to
the outside of the roof rafters on each end. Use one 5/16 x 2"
hex bolt assembly at each end of each ceiling joist.
Fasten the remaining ceiling joists to the roof rafter in the
middle of the roof assemblies. Use a 5/16 x 2" hex bolt as-
sembly in each end of the ceiling joists. Tighten the bolts
holding the roof panels to the corner posts.
STEP 15 — Roof Blocks:
Attach a Roof Block (Z) to each center roof rafter using a
5/16 x 4-1/2" hex bolt assembly
, as shown.
Please note the smaller 2 x 3 Roof Rafters have been omit-
ted from the illustration.
STEP 16 — Roof Support:
Place a Roof Support (Y) against the corner posts tight
against the underside of the roof rafters. Mark the position
of the holes at the end the roof support on the corner posts.
Make a 3/8" diameter hole through the corner post at each
mark.
Fasten the roof support to the corner posts using two 5/16 x 4"
hex bolt assemblies. Fasten the roof support to the roof block
using two #10 x 2-1/2" screws.
Repeat the process with the other Roof Support.
STEP 17 — Assemble Ridge Cap:
Align Ridge Cap Part A (AD) overlapping Ridge Cap Part B
(AE) as shown at right. Ensure the ends of the Ridge Cap
parts align before fastening using #8 x 2" screws. Each
screw should pass through ridge cap part A and into ridge
cap part B. Leave the screw head flush to the surface of
ridge cap part A.
