10. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE BATTERY
The CRATONI Smart Helmets are operated with a lithium polymer battery; please observe
all safety instructions in this manual. Strong heat development of the battery may lead to
explosion, fire or serious injuries.
• High temperatures such as long direct solar radiation or the use and storage of the helmets inside
the car may lead to strong heat developments which may cause damage at the helmet, burns at
head and neck or combustion, bursting or explosion of the battery.
• The battery performance will get worse in the course of time if the device is not used for a longer
period of time.
• The battery must not be disposed of in the domestic waste; it must be separately collected and
disposed of according to the local regulations.
10.2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE PRODUCTS
Observe all safety instructions in this manual. If you do not observe the safety instructions
carefully, this may lead to damage at the product.
• The product must not be disposed of in the domestic waste. The product must be disposed of
according to the local regulations.
• After use, allow your helmet to air dry and store in a cool, dry place. Otherwise, the electronics
might be damaged.
• The helmet can be seriously damaged by high temperatures of over 65°C, for example, if left in
direct sunlight in a car. Changes to the helmet surface or blistering are signs of heat damage. Do
not use a helmet that has these kinds of changes!
• Only clean your helmet, lighting system and remote control with a soft damp cloth. Changes to
the helmet, in particular the application of paints and stickers, the removal of interior stickers
(warning notices, identification coding) or the use of aggressive cleaning agents, chemicals and
solvents, may impair the protection your helmet offers and void the warranty!
• This helmet was developed to absorb part of the energy in a fall and therefore protect the
head. The helmet must be replaced after every hard impact, blow or deep scratch as it loses the
protection it offers as a result.
