STOP THE ENGINE
Before stopping the engine for a few minutes to help dry off
any moisture on the engine.
Operation
WARNING: If the extension cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer (or its
service agent) or a similarly qualified person
to avoid a hazard.

Electric Start:
First connect the extension cord to the
power cord receptacle and then into a wall receptacle. If ad-
ditional extension cord is required, make sure it is three-wire.

IMPORTANT:
To extend the life of the starter, use
short starting cycles (five seconds maximum). Wait
one minute between starting cycles.
NOTE:
If the engine does not start after three attempts, see
an authorized dealer.

NOTE:
Do not lose the safety key. Keep the safety key in a
safe place. The engine will not start without the safety/igni-
tion key.

Electric Start:
Depress the starter push button (

After you start the engine, first disconnect the extension cord
from the wall receptacle and then from the power cord recep-
tacle (

).
1. Remove the safety key (

, Figure 7).
2. Keep the safety key out of the reach of children.
WARNING: Gasoline and vapors are extremely
flammable and explosive. Fire or explosion can
cause severe burns or death. DO NOT choke
the carburetor to stop the engine.
