CORRECTING THE FIRST RECORD OF A PARAGRAPH
To correct the first record of a paragraph,
read or skip to the last record of the preced-
ing paragraph. With that record in the buffer,
the tape head is in position to RECord over
the first record of the next paragraph.
Any carrier returns, tabs or spaces after the
carrier return ending the last paragraph must
be retyped if you correct the first record of a
paragraph.
CORRECTING THE FIRST RECORD AT A SEARCH CODE
To correct the first record at Search Code 01,
simply insert the tape in Station 1 and rewind
it, then turn on RECord. Record the Search
Code, the initial carrier return and the first
record.
If you wish to change the first record of any
other Search Code on a tape locate the pre-
ceding Search Code.
Skip in Page Control to reach the End Page
Code, then turn on RECord and retype the
Search Code, carrier return and the first
record.
If it is necessary to change only the Search
Code in either case, follow the same proce-
dure. You should still record the first record
of the document as well as the Search Code.
