Temperature Sensitivity
– Persons with poor awareness of
temperature should avoid using an
Electric Blanket
or other personal
Heated Products
for extended periods. This includes but is not
limited to persons suffering from Diabetes where some sufferers can
develop Diabetic Neuropathy leading to numbness and an inability to
sense when something is hot. Additionally, and specifically for Foot
warming products, sufferers from Chilblains, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor
Neurone Disease or any other condition where numbness of the lower
limbs can occur.
Pregnancy
– Pregnant women should also exercise caution as there
is some evidence that higher body temperatures associated with the
use of
Personal Heated Products
for extended periods or at high
temperature settings can be harmful to the foetus.
