3. Place the spring in the trimmer head
with the wider end at the bottom
of the cylinder and the narrow end
pointing up towards the spool.
4. Thread the ends of the line through
the holes in the side of the trimmer
head and place the spool on top of
the spring in the trimmer head.
5. Pull gently on the ends of the line so
that it comes out of the notches in
the spool.
7. Refit the bottom cover, which has
a bayonet fitting. Push it down whilst
simultaneously twisting it clockwise
until it won’t turn any further.
6. If there is an unnecessary length of
line protruding from the spool, turn
the spool anticlockwise to wind
the line back onto the spool until
only about 5–6 cm of line sticks out.
