Figure 5-9 Key
C.- Mains power supply cable input;
D.- Hot water heater power supply cable input;
E.- Any eventual solar assembly power supply cable input;
F.- Any eventual pump power supply cable input;
G.- Any eventual room thermostat connection cable input;
3.- Lay the power supply cable through cable gland “E”;
4.- Remove the sheathing from the cable, taking care to
keep the earth wire (yellow/green) 20 mm longer than the
other two;
5.- Connect the yellow-green cable to terminal “9” (earth
symbol);
6.- Connect the brown cable (Live) to terminal “7” L;
7.- Connect the blue cable (Neutral) to terminal “8” N;
8.- For the connection of the other end of the cable to the
hot water heater refer to the installation manual supplied
with the solar assembly.
5.12.4 - Connection of any
eventual external pump
To connect the external pump (if present) proceed as
follows (refer to Figure 5-9):
WARNING! Disconnect the electric power
supply from the system, using the relevant switch.
1.- Use a triple-pole dual insulation cable, with a minimum
section of 1.5 mm
2
;
2.- Remove the lid from the junction box (detail “A” in Figure
5-8);
3.- Lay the power supply cable through cable gland “F”;
4.- Remove the sheathing from the cable, taking care to
keep the earth wire (yellow/green) 20 mm longer than the
other two;
5.- Connect the yellow-green cable to terminal “12” (earth
symbol);
6.- Connect the brown cable (Live) to terminal “10” L;
7.- Connect the blue cable (Neutral) to terminal “11” N;
8.- Connect the other end of the cable to the pump.
5.12.5 - Connection of any
eventual external pump control
A control device (timer, etc.) can be connected to manage
the external pump (if present). For its connection proceed
as follows (refer to Figure 5-9):
WARNING! Disconnect the electric power
supply from the system, using the relevant switch.
1.- Use a bipolar dual insulation cable, with a minimum
section of 1.5 mm
2
;
2.- Remove the lid from the junction box (detail “A” in Figure
5-8);
3.- Lay the power supply cable through cable gland “G”;
6.- Connect the cable to terminals “13” and “14” TA.
