2 INTRODUCTION
Your new Cortina gives you a push when cycling. It is a
bicycle with pedal assist up to 25 km/hour. This manual
explains everything about the Ecomo system. Be sure to
take the precautionary measures given in section 2 and
see chapter 3 for tips and tricks on electric cycling. Some
important tips for now:

Find a quiet road to practice with the assist system.
The engine can develop considerable power.

Check the battery charge before you set off (4).

Release the steering lock before you start cycling (5).

Do not switch the bicycle on until you have mounted
it (6). It is possible that you may accidentally turn the
pedals so that the bicycle moves off inadvertently.

Keep your bicycle clean and have it regularly main-
tained by the dealer.
Keep to the laws and traffi c regulations in the country where
you are cycling. Wearing a cycling helmet is compulsory in
some countries.
