Operating Instructions
Before using for the first time, wash the base, plate and oil tray
with lukewarm water. Dry thoroughly.
Place the oil tray on the base. To make subsequent cleaning
easier, cover the oil tray with aluminum foil. Oil collected can be
easily removed.
Important note: Please position plate correctly onto the power
base for proper operation. Decide which cooking surface is
required and place the plate over the oil tray. Use the guide tabs
on the handle to fit to slots on the supporting base.
Ribbed side is usually for foods such as meats and fish whilst the
flat plate is for cheese, vegetables and kebabs.
Insert the temperature control selector into the base, and then
switch it on. The temperature control selector will not fit into the
probe inlet if the plate has not been properly positioned on the
supporting base.
You may adjust the desired temperature while cooking.
When the indicator light is switched on, it is warming up
automatically. When indication light is switched off, it means your
desired temperature has already been reached.
Before cooking it is recommended to adjust the temperature to a
desired setting or to the maximum setting. You may start cooking
after 5 minutes when optimal temperature has been achieved.
After cooking, ensure the temperature control selector is in
“OFF”
position. Only then should you remove the plug from the electrical
outlet.
CAUTION:
Do not scratch the plate surface. Use non-metallic utensils only.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven mitts to remove plate by
holding the handles if the appliance is hot. Always place appliance
on a heat resistant surface.
