Free arm
Protection plate
Use the free arm to sew on sleeves,
cuffs and trousers legs.
The protection plate will protect the user from accidental injury
from the needle. Use of the protection plate is optional.
1.
Install the twin needle according to the instructions stated
in "
Needle replacement
".
2.
Pull the spool pin to the highest position. Place both
bobbins on to the spool pin and replace the rubber loop
(Pic 1).
3.
Thread both threads through 1, 2, 3, and 4 as per normal
threading instructions. At 5, thread the lower bobbin thread
through the left ring and the top bobbin thread through the
right ring (Pic 2).
4.
At 6, thread the lower bobbin thread to the left (Pic 3). The
upper bobbin thread is threaded through the spring to the
right (Pic 4).
5.
Thread both needles, ensuring the left thread is through the
left needle and the right thread is through the right needle.
6.
Insert the protection plate. (It is advisable to use the
protection plate for the twin needle sewing as it guides
the threads).
7.
Choose straight stitch pattern on the pattern selector dial.
Note:
Zigzag stitch can not be used with the twin needle
sewing.
8.
The method of sewing is the same as the operation of single
needle sewing machine.
9.
While using the twin needle function, it is better not to
choose the “fast” sewing, since using “slow” speed will sew
the stitches more smoothly.
10.
When using twin needle, the presser foot lever should only
be raised when the needle is in its highest position.
11.
Do not to start the machine when the presser foot lever is
being raised.
