6.2.1  Enclosure Penetrations

All fittings, conduit hubs, and wiring glands must be UL, CSA, or EU approved/listed.

Pre-cut penetration holes are available on the IPC-8000. However, when routing cables or cutting
alternate penetration holes, take care to consider any optional equipment to be installed into the IPC-
8000 enclosure. Optional equipment may cover or impair the routing of cables.

Refer to

Figure 3

for the location of available penetration hole locations on the left-side, right-side

and top of the enclosure. The inner diameter of all penetration holes is 0.88 inches (22.35 mm).

Refer t

Table 3

for conduit hole size and flat surface area requirements.

Figure 3 IPC-8000 Side and Top Penetration Hole Locations

Use care when punching out knockout holes to avoid damage to
internal components.

Inner diameter of penetration holes on left, right and top of enclosure are all
0.88 inches (22.35 mm).
