Descaling
The descale reminder automatically activates after 150 uses of
either the coffee or steam functions. To switch off the
indicators and reset the reminder complete the following
sequence within 3 seconds.

Turn control knob to coffee ( ) position
 Turn control knob to ‘ ’position
 Turn the control knob to the steam ( ) position
 Finally return the control knob to ‘ ’position
Descale with a proprietary descaler suitable for espresso
machines and dilute in accordance with the instructions on the
pack.
1.
Fill the water tank to the MAX level with the descaler
solution.
2. Plug in, and check that the steam control knob and all
buttons are in their off position and fit an empty filter and
filter holder.
3. Switch on using the ON/OFF switch and wait for the white
coffee/steam indicator to illuminate.
4. Place a jug under the brewing nozzles and then turn the
control knob to the coffee (
) position. Allow
approximately 2 espresso cups (200ml approx.) of the
liquid to flow from the brewing nozzles.
5. Return the control knob to the ’ ’ position.
6. Now place the jug under the steam nozzle with the tip
below the surface of the liquid.
7. After a few seconds, turn the control knob to the steam ( )
position and allow steam to flow for about a minute.
8. Return the control knob to the ’ ’ position, to turn off this
function
9. Switch off the espresso machine using the ON/OFF switch
and allow the descaler solution to stay in the espresso
machine for
15 minutes .
10. Restart the espresso machine and repeat steps 3–8 a
further four times.
