3.2.3 STANDARD menu
Here it is possible to select two test methods according to the Standards EN 12504-2 and
ASTM C805.

Selecting one of the two standard methods produces, at the end of the test session, the
automatic calculation of the parameters of the selected standard and the conformity with
respect to it.
Here follow abstracts of both test Standards with mention to the number of impacts
requested by each test session and the results management.
EN 12504-2:
"Use a minimum of 9 readings to obtain a reliable estimate of the rebound number for a
test area. Record the position and orientation of the hammer for each set of readings.
The result shall be taken as the median of all the readings, adjusted if necessary to take
into account the orientation of the hammer in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and expressed as a whole number. If more than 20% of all readings differ
from the median by more than 6 units, the entire set of readings shall be discarded".
NOTE:
The test hammer 58-C0181/DGT is equipped with an internal inclinometer and therefore
does not require correction for the test angle.
ASTM C805:
“9.1 Discard readings differing from the average of 10 readings by more than 6 units and
determine the average of the remaining readings. If more than 2 readings differ from the
average by 6 units, discard the entire set of readings and determine rebound numbers at
10 new locations within the test
area.
9.2 If necessary, apply the correction factor to the average rebound number so that the
rebound number is for a horizontal orientation of the hammer. Interpolation is permitted
if corrections factors are not given for
