Appendix E: External Server and Remote Services

X-600M Users Manual

incoming ports need to be opened in the router, security is not compromised. See section

Connection String

With Remote Services enabled, a connection attempt will be made periodically according to the 

Connection Interval

 setting in the 

Network > Advanced Network > Remote Services Client

 menu tab. 

The 

Connection String

 is a user-defined character string configured in the 

Network > Advanced 

Network > Remote Services Client 

menu

 

tab. 

The connection string is also sent at the same interval once the connection is open. The external server 
is responsible for closing the connection when it is done.
