3.3 IrDA Connector: JP5
There are six pins that support Hewlett Packard HSDL-1000 compatible infrared (IR)
transmitters and receivers. In the Setup program, COM2 can be directed to a connected IR
device. (In this case, the serial COM2 connector cannot be used.) The IR connection can be
used to transfer files to or from portable devices like laptops, PDAs, and printers. The
Infrared Data Association (IrDA) specification supports data transfers of 115 Kbit/sec at a
distance of 1 meter.
