The spark guard protects
your eyes and hands from
sparks flying from the
workpiece.
Therefore, always use the
spark guard.
ADJUSTING THE WORKPIECE SUPPORT
The workpiece support needs regular adjustment in
order to compensate the wear of the grinding wheel.
Loosen the adjusting screw (7).
Adjust the distance between the
workpiece support (6) and the grinding
wheel (2) to the smallest possible value, with a
maximum of 2 mm.
Tighten the adjusting screw.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before switching on the machine, check if all
screws and nuts are tight and if the grinding wheel
can rotate freely.
Always grind on the front part of the grinding
wheel. Never overcharge the machine, causing the
grinding wheel to come to a halt.
The machine is not intended for permanent use.
Make sure that the machine is not overheated. After
using the machine for 30 minutes, let it cool down to
ambient temperature.
DRY GRINDING
The dry-grinding wheel (2) is suitable for rough-
grinding activities.
Use a grinding wheel composed of soft stone for
grinding hard metals.
Use a grinding wheel composed of hard stone for
grinding soft metals.
Between times, regularly cool the tools to be
grinded using a coolant.
Regularly adjust the spark guard and workpiece
support to compensate wear to the grinding wheel.
WET GRINDING
The wet-grinding wheel (9) is suitable for fine-
grinding activities. During use the grinding wheel
should run in water.
Check before use whether the drain cock (14) has
been placed correctly, and fill the water reservoir
(10) up until approx. 1 cm below the edge (21) with
domestic water.
During use regularly check the water level.
Add water as required.
After use remove the drain cock to empty
the water reservoir.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
To switch the machine on, set the on/off
switch (1) to ‘I’.
To switch the machine off, set the on/off
switch (1) to ‘0’.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention! Before
performing any work on
the equipment, pull the
power plug.
Service
§ Only qualified specialist personnel and original
replacement parts should be used for repairs. This
will ensure that your device remains safe.
Cleaning
§ Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft
cloth, preferably after each use. Keep the
ventilation slots free from dust and dirt. If the dirt
does not come off use a soft cloth
moistened with soapy water. Never use solvents
such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water,
etc. These solvents may damage the plastic parts.
LUBRICATION
The transmission drive to the wet-grinding stone
needs to be greased incidentally.
Remove the water reservoir (10).
Remove the cover (22) from the drive case (23).
Apply a large amount of ball-bearing grease to the
transmission drive (24).
Replace the cover and water reservoir.
