20. Troubleshooting
The pulse is not displayed (3 dashes in the display):
• The chest strap may not be positioned correctly. Fix the posi-
tion and try it again.
• The two contact faces at the chest strap sensor may not be
moist enough. Moisten them again and try again.
• The contact faces must be placed directly on your skin. No fab-
ric or anything else must be in between.
• Observe that the chest strap and the pulse watch must not be more than 80 cm apart to
transfer the data.
The heart rate display of the watch stops or is inaccurate:
• The battery in the chest strap may be empty and need to be replaced.
• Electromagnetic fields (e.g. of household devices, computers, power lines, etc.) may cause
interferences. Change your location and try it again.
The watch keeps bleeping:
• When you have activated the alarm for your pulse range and your pulse is outside of the
range, the watch bleeps to inform you of this.
Too-weak contrast of the LC display of the pulse watch, too-dark blacklighting:
• Replace the battery of the pulse watch or have this done by a specialist.
The display of the pulse watch has frozen and the watch can no longer be operated:
• The display may freeze due to electrostatic charge or if you have recently replaced the battery.
If this happens, reset the watch to factory settings. For this, push all 4 buttons at once. The
watch will bleep and all segments will be displayed. All settings and values are lost.
