13. Troubleshooting
By purchasing this charging device you have acquired a product that has been designed to the
state of the art and is operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur. Therefore,
we would like to describe to you how to remove possible interferences.
No function or no display
• Is the low-voltage round plug of the plug-in mains adapter correctly plugged into the charger
socket?
• Is the mains adapter correctly plugged into the mains socket and is the mains voltage
present?
• If no if rechargeable battery is inserted, the charger is in the standby mode. Try inserting a
rechargeable battery into the charger correctly.
No rechargeable battery programme can be chosen
• Insert a rechargeable battery into one of the rechargeable battery chutes of the charger. Only
then can a rechargeable battery programme be chosen for this rechargeable battery chute.
Without inserted rechargeable battery, no display appears for the respective charge channel.
Rechargeable battery is not recognised
• Are the contacts of the charge slot or battery contaminated? If required, clean it with a clean,
dry cloth.
• The rechargeable battery may be deep-discharge or defective. Try inserting a different rechar
-
geable battery or check the function of another rechargeable battery chute.
• The charger is only suitable for rechargeable NiMH or NiCd batteries with a rated voltage of
1.2 V. Never insert any other rechargeable batteries or even non-rechargeable batteries!
Charging is interrupted
• Are the contacts of the charge slot or battery contaminated? If required, clean it with a clean,
dry cloth.
• The rechargeable battery is not inserted correctly into the rechargeable battery chute.
• The overtemperature protection has triggered since the rechargeable battery grew too hot at
charging (or discharging). Set a lower charging or discharging current.
