Setting the display contrast
• Press any language key. The language will be shown on the display.
• Set the desired display contrast using the key „
“ or „
“.
Saving and linking words
• Enter the desired word and press the key „ENTER“ to confirm.
• Press the „SAVE“ key once, when the word has appeared on the display. The display shows
„SAVED“.
• To link words, press the „SAVE“ button again. As confirmation, the word „LINKING“ is shown
on the display.
Retrieving saved words
• To retrieve words that are already saved, press the „MODE“ key several times until the word
„RECALL“ appears on the display.
• Using the „
“ or „
“ button, you can display the saved words.
• Press the desired language key to translate the currently displayed word.
Selecting pre-saved sayings
(only applies to order no: 777049)
Pre-saved sayings can be selected using the „ANS. PHR“ key. You then can browse through the
sayings using the keys „
“ or „
“.
Currency converter
• Press the „MODE“ button several times, until the display shows „0“.
• Press and hold the „RATE“ key for 2 seconds.
• Enter the exchange rate and confirm the input with the „ENTER“ key.
• Now, enter the amount of money and then press the key „HOME“ or „EURO“.
Examples for currency conversion:
Example 1:
Assume you have 100 Dollars, and you want to convert them to Euros (assumed exchange rate
= 1.495). To do this, proceed as follows:
• Press the „MODE“ button, several times until the display shows „0“.
• Press and hold the „RATE“ key for 2 seconds.
• Enter the exchange rate 1.495 and confirm the input with the „ENTER“ key.
• Now enter the amount of 100 and then press the key „EURO“.
Example 2:
Assume you have 100 Euros and you want to convert them to Dollars (assumed exchange rate
= 1.495). To do this, proceed as follows:
• Press the „MODE“ button several times until the display shows „0“.
• Press and hold the „RATE“ key for 2 seconds.
• Enter the exchange rate 1.495 and confirm the input with the „ENTER“ key.
• Now, enter the amount of 100 and then press the key „HOME“.
Finding incomplete words
• Enter the desired word. For each letter that you don’t know, press the key „?“.
• Press the „ENTER“ key to obtain a list of all possible words. Using the key „
“ you can
search for more words.
Game
• Press the „MODE“ key several times until the word „GAME“ is shown on the display.
• The desired game can be selected using the keys „
“ or „
“.
• Press the key „ENTER“, to start the game.
The following games can be selected: Hangman, User Hangman, Anagram, User Anagram,
Auction, User Auction, Match Maker, Fortune Teller, Luky Draw
Maintenance and Cleaning
Except for replacing the battery as described, the device is maintenance-free.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
a) General
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are legally obliged (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries; it is prohibited to dispose of them in the household waste.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
