Intended Use

This Mobile Phone Ring Tone Amplifier detects incoming calls and text messages (SMS) and
emits an adjustable signal tone. The signal tone (RING or MUSIC) is adjustable. The playback
volume is also adjustable (OFF, LO, HI).

The Mobile Phone Ring Tone Amplifier is thus a reliable aide in a noisyenvironment or for the
hard of hearing.

The voltage is supplied via the power transformer (9V/DC) enclosed.

The Mobile Phone Ring Tone Amplifier also has a battery compartment for the insertion of a 9V
battery. The battery serves as a backup battery, in order to ensure operation even in the event
of a power failure.

The ring tone amplifier and the power transformer supplied are only intended for use in dry
indoor locations.

Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may harm the product and result
in short circuits, fire, etc.    The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the
safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the operating instructions care-
fully and keep them for later reference.

Explanation of the Symbols

The lightening symbol in a triangle is used to alert you to potential risks for person-
al injury, such as electric shock.

This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particular dangers
associated with handling, function or operation.

The „Hand“ symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to obser-
ve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases. 

• The ring tone amplifier and the power transformer must not be modified or con-

verted, as not only the CE Approval will become void but also the warranty. 

• The ring tone amplifier and the power transformer must not be exposed to

extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, humidity or heavy
mechanical stress.

• After rapid changes in temperature, the ring tone amplifier and the power trans-

former require some time to adjust to stabilise, in order to adjust to the ambient
temperature, before they can be used.

• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children! 
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic film/bags

etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of suffocation.

• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-

nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.

• The devices must not get damp or wet. Danger to life through an electric shock!
• Note that the ring tone amplifier can produce a sound intensity of up to 105 dB

(A). Thus, never carry the ring tone amplifier close to your ears. Risk of hearing
damage.

• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or acciden-

tal drops, even from a low height.

• The voltage is supplied via the power transformer (9V/DC) enclosed.
• The accident prevention regulations of the association of compensation insurers

must be followed when using all electrical facilities and equipment in commercial
locations.

• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified spe-

cialist or a specialised repair shop.

• Please contact a qualified personnel if you are unsure about the safety or the cor-

rect use of the product.

Handling batteries:

• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children. 
• Ensure the polarity is correct, when inserting the batteries.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by chil-

dren or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable

protective gloves. 

• The battery must not be short-circuited or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Never take the batteries apart! 
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! 
• In case of longer periods of non-use (e.g. during storage) remove the battery to avoid damage

from a leaking battery.

Product Description

Signal tone volume selector (OFF = off,
LO = low volume, HI = high volume)

2) Slide switch „RING/MUSIC“

This slide switch is used to set the desired
signal tone.

3)1Mobile phone detection button

This button is depressed when a phone is
inserted into the holder.

4) Call/SMS detection LED

This LED starts flashing when a call or an
SMS is received. A missed call is indicat-
ed by it flashing at intervals of 20 seconds.

Connection for power supply. 

Connection and Start-up

Do not place devices that emit strong magnetic or electric fields, such as
another mobile phone, electric motors, etc. in the immediate vicinity of the
mobile phone. This can lead to false alarms.

Note that the mobile phone ring tone amplifier has a batterycompartment, but
the 9V battery inserted there, only serves as a backup battery in case of a
power failure. This ensures that the ring tone is amplified even in the event of
an incoming call during a power failure,.
The mobile phone ring tone amplifier is powered via the enclosed 9V/DC pow-
er transformer.

• Open the battery compartment on the back.
• Connect the 9V battery, paying attention to the correct polarity and insert it into the battery

compartment.

• Close the battery compartment.
• Connect the low voltage plug on the enclosed power transformer to the „DC 9V“ (6) socket.
• Plug the power transformer into a standard domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).

Thereupon, a short „Beep“ tone sounds, which confirms acoustically that connection has been
made to the power transformer. In addition, the Status LED  „BAT.“ (7) lights for about 1 sec-
ond to confirm visually the connection to the power transformer. Also observe the following
instructions:

Glows red when connecting to the power
transformer. Flashes 1x per second when
the battery voltage is low. Flashes 2x per
second when the battery needs changing.

8) „CH.“ Status LED

Flashes when the mobile phone battery is
being charged. Glows, once the battery in
the connected mobile phone is fully
charged.

9) USB charging connection

A USB recharger cable for mobile phones
can be connected to this „USB charging
connection“, thus ensuring your mobile
phone’s battery is charged (charging
cable not included).
