Intended use
This Additional Radio Alarm Siren is an additional alarm transmitter for a radio alarm system
(Order No. 751364, separately available).
The Additional Radio Alarm Siren may not get damp or wet. The outlet plug unit, as well as the
plug, should only be used in a dry indoor environment.
Power is supplied via the provided power supply unit. The 9 V battery provides power in the
event of a power breakdown.
Operating the product in any other way than described above is not permitted and may lead to
damaging to the product, which can give rise to risks such as short circuit, fire and electric shock.
The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included
in these operating instructions. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later
reference.

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to obser-
ve these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
• For safety reasons and in keeping with the official (CE) approval, it is not
permitted to reconstruct and/or modify this radio alarm siren as well as the
power supply unit.
• This product uses and generates high frequency energy. If the device is not
installed and operated in accordance with these instructions, it can cause
radio interference. If the product causes interference to other equipment,
try one or more of the following measures listed below, in order to restore
normal operation:
- Change the position of the radio alarm siren.
- Increase the distance between the effected device and the Additional
Radio Alarm Siren.
• Do not operate the product in the proximity of medical devices (e.g. cardiac
pacemakers), in hospitals, doctor’s surgeries, etc.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
• Please contact a qualified person if you are unsure about the safety and
correct use of the system components.
• This Additional Radio Alarm Siren generates a sound volume up to 110 dB.
Thus, never have the product close to your ears. There is a very high risk of
hearing damage.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren!
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
toys for children.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires approx. 15
minutes to stabilise, in order to adjust to the surrounding temperature,
before it can be used.
Wait until the product has reached room temperature, before use.
• The Additional Radio Alarm Siren may not get damp or wet. The outlet plug
unit, as well as the plug, should only be used in a dry indoor environment.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• The power supply unit conforms to protection class II. It may only be
plugged into a standard household 230V~/50Hz mains socket.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• Never plug in, or remove, the power unit when your hands are wet.

• Never pull on the power cable; only unplug it at the power outlet.
• In the event of a thunderstorm, unplug the power supply unit for safety
reasons.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not function any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long
period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or another specialist.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
Battery notes
• Batteries should be kept out of children’s reach.
• Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around. Pets or small children might swallow them. If swallowed,
consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There is a
risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries which are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted battery. If batteries
are too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancellation
of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter “Disposal”.
Installation and connection
When selecting the position for installing the Additional Radio Alarm Siren,
please note that it must not be subjected to direct sunlight, vibrations, dust,
heat or cold. This may lead to faulty activation, failure or functional
impairment.
Furthermore, for a correct operation it has to be ensured that a power socket
with 230 V/AC 50 Hz is close to the Additional Radio Alarm Siren in order to
connect the provided power supply unit.
Make sure the radio alarm siren is disconnected from voltage during
installation!
When drilling, make sure you do not accidentally damage any power lines,
gas pipes or water pipes. Danger to life!
The Additional Radio Alarm Siren may not get damp or wet. The outlet plug
unit, as well as the plug, should only be used in a dry indoor environment.
Do not place radio devices or devices with strong magnetic or electric fields,
such as mobile phones, electric motors, etc. in the immediate vicinity.
The Additional Radio Alarm Siren is suitable for mounting to a vertical wall.
Proceed as follows, to ensure the correct installation:
• Remove the housing cover at the rear side by removing the
screws.
• Connect the 9V battery and insert it in the battery case.
• Close the housing again.
• Attach the provided drilling template with glue to the intended
mounting position:
• Drill the two holes.
• Attach the Additional Radio Alarm Siren with the mounting
and appropriate mounting materials to the intended mounting
position as shown in Figure A (right).
