Indoor and outdoor thermometer

Intended Use

The product displays the indoor and outdoor temperatures as well as the time of day and the
date with an alarm function. The thermometer can signal an alarm on frost and store MIN/MAX
temperatures as well.

Any use other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product. The product
may not be altered or converted. 

All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. Please read
the entire operating manual before using the product. Always retain it for later reference.

Explanation of the Symbols

The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling,
operation and control.

The “Hand” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for damage to pro-
perty and injury to persons caused by mishandling or non-compliance with the
safety instructions! The product may not be altered or converted. In such
cases the warranty will be null and void.

General Safety Instructions
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation, or the safety of the device,

please consult a specialist.

• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous

playthings for children.

• If you sell this product or give it away, you must hand over these operating

instructions.

• Also observe the safety instructions in the individual sections of this operating

guide.

• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a specialist or a

specialised repair shop. 

• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please contact

our technical customer service.

Product Specific Safety Instructions
• This product must not be exposed to high mechanical pressure.
• Falls even from a low height can damage the product.
• The product should not be exposed to strong vibrations, moisture or heavy

mechanical stress.

• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure it

against unintended use.

Battery Safety Information
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
• Remove the batteries, if you are not going to use the device for a while, to prevent

damage from leaking. 

• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause acidburns on

contact with the skin. Thus, you should wear protective gloves when handling
damaged batteries.

• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being

swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor imme-
diately.

• Ensure that the batteries are never short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into a fire.

There is a risk of explosion!

• For the proper disposal of batteries, please read the chapter “Disposal”.

Settings

Date and time
• Insert new batteries. Two successive beep sounds indicate the readout in the display.
• Hold the “TIME” button for about 2 seconds. In the display, the setting of the 12 or 24-hour

format flashes. 

• By using the “UP” button you can select the 12/24-hour display.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• The seconds flash in the second field.
• Press the “UP” button to set the seconds to zero.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• The hours flash in the top field.
• Press the “UP” button until the correct hour is set.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• The minutes flash in the top field.
• Press the “UP” button until the correct minute is set.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• In the top field, the year display flashes and “yr” is displayed simultaneously in the 2. field.
• Press the “UP” button until the correct year is set.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• In the top field, the month flashes, indicated by “M”, and in the 2. field the day of the week is

displayed simultaneously.

• Press the “UP” button until the correct month is set.
• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation.
• In the top field, the day flashes, indicated by “D”, and in the 2. field the day of the week is dis-

played simultaneously.

• Press the “UP” button until the correct date is set. The correct day of the week will appear

simultaneously in field 2.

• Press the “TIME” button for confirmation and to leave the menu.

Alarm
• Press the “ALARM” button to switch to the alarm status. Indication in field 2 by “AL”.
• Hold the “ALARM” button for about 2 seconds, the hours start to flash.
• Press the “UP” button until the correct alarm hour is set.
• Hold the “ALARM” button and the minutes start to flash.
• Press the “UP” button until the correct alarm minutes are set.
• Press the button “ALARM” for confirmation; in the second field a bell appears as symbol for the

set alarm time, and the description “AL”. 

Please note that the setting menu will be exited automatically if no keystroke is per-
formed for 30 seconds.

Frost alarm
• Hold the button “°C/°F” for approx. 2 seconds and the frost alarm gets activated for the outside

temperature.

• In a range of -1 degree and +4 degrees the frost alarm symbol in field 4 for the outdoor tem-

perature flashes.

• Hold the button “°C/°F” again for about 2 seconds and the frost alarm gets deactivated.

Explanation of the functions

The standard display of your thermometer shows the following functions:
Field 1: Time
Field 2: Seconds
Field 3: Indoor temperature and progress record
Field 4: Outdoor temperature and progress record

• If you press the “TIME” button the display will change to the date function, and you can read

the following:
Field 1: Date with month - day
Field 2: Day of the week
Field 3 and 4 do not change.

• If you press the “UP” button you can select between seconds and day of the week in field 2.

• If you press the “ALARM” button the display will change to the alarm function, and you can read

the following:
Field 1: The set alarm time
Field 2: Whether or not the alarm is activated (either a bell symbol or no symbol is displayed),
indicated by “AL”. 
Field 3 and 4 do not change.

• Using the “UP” button you can either activate or deactivate the alarm.
• The alarm signal beeps for approximately 30 seconds when it reaches the alarm time, and will

turn off automatically.

• If you press the “TIME” button, the display will change back to the standard display.

• Field 3 of the display shows the indoor temperature. A small arrow indicates the progress of

the temperature.

• Field 4 of the display shows the outdoor temperature. A small arrow indicates the progress of

the temperature.

• You can switch the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit using the “°C/°F”

button.

• Press the button “MAX/MIN” to access the storage function of the thermometer.
• Press the button “MAX/MIN” and the maximum indoor and outdoor temperatures, including

progress, are shown in fields 3 and 4, marked with “MAX”.

• Press the button “MAX/MIN” again and the minimum indoor and outdoor temperatures,

including progress, appear in fields 3 and 4, marked with “MIN”.
