r) Lighting the LC display
Briefly pressing the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" (3) button activates the built-in background illumination
of the LC display for a couple of seconds.
s) Reset
Pressing the inset "RESET" button (5) resets all of the settings back to the factory settings. The
button can be activated carefully with a toothpick or similar.
Alternatively, simply remove the batteries for a few seconds and then reinsert them.
t) Connecting an external power unit to the weather station
If required the weather station can be operated with an external power unit (not supplied in
delivery) instead of batteries. A low voltage socket (16) can be found on the side of the weather
station. The batteries are switched off in the process and can be removed.
Do not leave the batteries in the weather station as these may become excessively
old and leak.
The external power unit must have a stabilised output voltage of 4.5V/DC and must be able
to deliver a current of 200mA.
The internal contact of the low-voltage plug must carry "+" ("plus"), the external contact must
be "-" (minus). Make sure that the round plug has an external diameter of 3.5, and an internal
diameter of 1.3mm. Do not forcefully insert the round plug into the low-voltage socket (16).
