Setting the switching threshold
• Briefly press the “
” button. The display indicates “RH SET”
in the top row; see illustration to the right.
The current room humidity is indicated on the bottom left; and
the currently set switching threshold on the bottom right.
• Set the switching threshold using the “
▲
” or “
▼
” button. The display “SET” will flash. For a
quick adjustment hold the corresponding button for a longer period of time.
• If you do not press any key for several seconds, the setting mode will be exited and the dis-
play “SET” stops blinking. The new switching threshold is now saved.
Connecting a load
Plug the mains plug of the load (air humidifier, air dehumidifier, ventilationsystem or the like) into
the mains socket at the front of the humidity control.
Pay attention to the max. connection values of the humidity control; see section “Technical
Data”.
If you want to disconnect the load, hold the humidity controller and unplug the load’s mains plug
from the mains socket of the humidity controller.
Switching the air humidity control on or off
Briefly press the “
” button to switch the humidity control on or off.
Humidity controller is switched on:
The LED to the left of the display indicates whether the front socket, and thus the
load, is switched on or off:
LED illuminates red: Off
LED illuminates green: On
When the front socket/load is switched on, the symbol for the current
operating mode is additionally shown between “RH” and “SET” (Air humidification
“
” or air dehumidification “
”).
Humidity control is switched off:
The current air humidity is indicated at the display’s bottom left and the current operating mode
(air humidification “
” or air dehumidification “
”) is shown at the top. The LED to the left
of the display does not light.
Functional Description
Important!
If the value falls below or exceeds the preset switching threshold, a switching pro-
cedure will only be performed if the measured air humidity remains above or below
the threshold for a certain time.
This prevents the switching procedures from being performed too often if the room’s
humidity changes rapidly.
• Operating mode 1 (“
”), Air humidification
This function can be used e.g. to operate an air humidifier (if the latter does not have its own
humidity control).
Example:
The switching threshold is set to 60%; the air humidity drops to 50%.
The air humdifier connected will be switched on until the air humidity is at or above 60% again.
When the switching threshold is exceeded, the air humidifier will be switched off immediately.
If the air humidity drops below the switching threshold for a while (as described at the
beginning, this prevents the peformance of many switching procedures), the air humidifier will
be turned on again.

The LED to the left of the display indicates whether the front socket, and thus the air
humidifier, is switched on or off:
LED illuminates red: Off
LED illuminates green: On
• Operating mode 2 (“
”), Air dehumidification
This function can be used e.g. to operate an air dehumidifier (if the latter does not have its
own humidity control) or a ventilation system.
Example:
The switching threshold is set to 60%; the air humidity rises to 80%.
RH
SET
RH
SET
The air dehumidifier connected (or a ventilation system) will be switched on until the air
humidity is below 60%.
When the value falls below the switching threshold, the air dehumidifier (or a ventilation
system) will be switched off immediately.
If the air humidity rises above the switching threshold for a while (as described at the
beginning, this prevents the performance of too many switching procedures), the air
dehumidifier or the ventilation system will be turned on again.

The LED to the left of the display indicates whether the front socket, and thus the
load, is switched on or off:
LED illuminates red: Off
LED illuminates green: On
Maintenance and Cleaning
The humidity control does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for
any reason. Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by qualified personnel.
Disconnect the humidity control from the mains socket, and disconnect the load from the
humidity control prior to each cleaning.
Clean the product with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Do not press on the display too strongly, it
could be damaged!
Dust can be very easily removed with a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
