Before first use

•

Make sure you remove all packaging materials from the appliance and attachments.

•  Clean the appliance and attachments as described in the “Care and cleaning” section before

using them for the first time.

Mains connection

Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, make sure that it is turned off

to avoid unintentional running. Set the speed switch (2) to “0”.

The mains socket must be close to the appliance and easily accessible.

•

Unwind the power cord completely.

•

Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.

Operation

Always turn off the appliance and unplug it from the mains supply before installing or

removing the attachments.

Wait for the running attachments to come to a complete standstill after turning the

appliance off. Never touch the running attachments.

Never put any objects other than food to be mixed into the mixing bowl.

The appliance must not be operated continuously for more than 5 minutes. Allow

sufficient  time  (20  minutes)  for  the  appliance  to  cool  down  before  resuming

operation.

•

The  attachments  should  be  inserted  into  the  respective  slots  on  the  underside  of  the

appliance. The attachments should click into place.

The dough hooks have holders with a different shape. The dough hook with an

additional ring on the holder must be inserted into the slot with the thicker end. The

beaters can be inserted into the slots as desired.

•

Dip the attachments into the food to be mixed and turn on the hand mixer.

•

Use the speed switch (2) to set the desired speed:

“0”

Appliance is turned off

“1” to “6”

low to high speed (depending on the level)

•  Pressing the turbo button (3) sets the highest speed briefly regardless of the selected speed.
•

When you are done, make sure you turn off the hand mixer (by setting the speed switch (2)

to “0”) before removing the attachments from the mixed food.

•

To remove the attachments, press the eject button (1).

The eject button (1) is disabled while the appliance is in operation.

Tips

•  The rear side of the hand mixer housing is flattened. The appliance can be placed on this side

during pauses or when stored.

•

Always select the low speed at the beginning of mixing. Gradually increase the speed as you

proceed through the mixing process.

•

Use low speeds for hard or tough food and high speeds for light and liquid food.

•

Always turn on the hand mixer when the attachments are dipped into the food and turn it off

before removing the attachments from the food. This prevents food from splashing around.

•

The beaters are best suited for preparing sauces, puree, creams, cream and light doughs

(e.g. batter) etc., whereas the dough hooks are ideal for preparing firm doughs and masses

such as short dough or yeast dough, potato dough, mince or bread dough, as well as for

heavy-duty operations.

•

Avoid  mixing  continuously  for  too  long.  Observe  the  time  for  mixing/stirring  the  food  as

described  in  your  recipe.  Dry  ingredients  should  be  mixed  with  the  food  until  they  are

thoroughly combined. Low speed should always be used in this case.

•

The  required  mixing  time  and  the  desired  results  depend  heavily  on  climatic  conditions,

seasonal temperature fluctuations, temperature of ingredients and their various properties

that can vary from region to region.

•

Wait for chilled ingredients such as butter or eggs to reach room temperature before mixing

them. Take these ingredients out of the fridge and wait for some time before mixing.

•

Make sure you crack eggs in a separate bowl and only then add them to the mixing bowl to

prevent eggshells from ending up in the food to be mixed.

Care and cleaning

Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning. The motor unit,

the power cord and the mains plug must not be immersed in water and the parts of

the hand mixer must not be cleaned in a dishwasher or with a steam cleaner.

Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as

these may damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.

•

Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry.

•

The attachments can be cleaned in a dishwasher or rinsed manually.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste.

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statu-

tory regulations.
